10-20

With the release of the free to
play unlimited trial version of
World of Warcraft (click here to learn more about it and the current
restrictions), we can assume that at least a few new players will find
themselves stumbling wide-eyed into Azeroth for the very first time.
This may not be quite the experience they were expecting though thanks
in large part to the restrictions on chat, gold collection, and even
groups that are placed upon players using the trial version.

Instead of joining groups,
asking other players for help, earning as
much gold as possible, and perhaps even joining their first guild,
these new players will instead find themselves basically isolated,
alone in an unfamiliar world. This can be a scary and difficult time.
In fact many potential players may find themselves so discouraged that
they will decide to walk away from the game altogether. Since
I’m
all about making new WoW zombies out of everyone possible, this simply
cannot be tolerated!

To help make leveling through these fledgling
levels just a tad bit easier, below,
new players to the trial version of World of Warcraft will find a
mini-leveling guide of sorts. Here players can see first hand the
suggested zones (complete with links to guides to that particular zone
when available) for their level to make leveling a speedy and fun
experience instead of a giant guessing game.

So create your character and
lets get leveling!

Players
of both Horde and
Alliance will begin their journey in
Azeroth in one of
several “starting zones” in game. Which
starting zone you end up in will be determined by which race you
choose. Starting zones are where players learn the basics of the game
in a relatively safe environment. Usually the mobs (enemies) here will
not attack unless attacked themselves and the chances of death are
small. Players will spend the first 5 levels in these starting zones,
but don’t worry these levels will fly by and you will soon
find
yourself branching out into the wider, and often times more exciting
world!

Once a player has reached level
5, they will be given a quest to
leave the safety of the starting zone and head out into the more
dangerous portions of that zone. Don’t’ worry
though, even
though danger is more prevalent once you have left the starting zone,
these beginning zones are still made for new players and things will
remain relatively easy.

Below you will find the
starting zone for each of the races in game. Simply click the name of
the race you chose, or scroll down to view a brief description of the
starting zones. Once you have found the starting zone that pertains to
your character, click the link provided to be taken to any available
walkthroughs for the zone.

Once level 10 has been reached,
you will have completed most, if not
all, of the quests in your first
zone, and be ready to adventure into the next. It is possible by now
you even may have a “breadcrumb” quest, that is a
quest that directly leads you onwards
into the next zone in line. It is
up to you where you go from here, as long as the zone is level
appropriate, however, following any breadcrumb quests you may have, or
choosing zones that are nearby is usually the best course of action.
Traveling long distances simply to reach a particular zone at these low
levels can be deadly and since you have few
options to gain the help of
other players, nearly impossible.

Below you will find a listing
of all the guides available here at Ten Ton Hammer for zones centered
around the 10-20 level range as well as the starting zone you are most
likely to reach that particular zone from. However, keep in mind that
players may travel and quest in almost any zone
they wish.

Simply click on the name of the
level 10-20 zone below to access the guide related to that particular
zone.

Don’t see the zone
next in line for your character listed above? This sadly means we
currently do not have a guide available for it, but don’t
fret! Blizzard has made leveling easier than ever and you have
overcome
a huge hurdle already by simply completing the first 10 (or more)
levels. Be sure to make use of your in game quest helper, follow any
and all breadcrumb quests, complete lengthy chain quests, and be aware
of possible quest items dropped by mobs, and you can expect to have a
successful leveling experience with or without a guide.

Congratulations!
You’ve reached level 20 and by this point you will know if
you love or hate the game. If your thinking WoW just isn’t
for you , perhaps it’s time to uninstall. But before you do,
we at Ten Ton Hammer would like to suggest you make the best use of
your free trial and instead of hitting the uninstall button, try out
another race, class, or even faction. Sometimes even the smallest
change can make a big difference in how you view the game.

If you love the game you will
need to purchase the full version in stores, or via
Blizzard’s website to continue on your leveling journey. All
restrictions will be removed and you will have full access to the wide
and wonderful world that is World of Warcraft. Welcome and good luck in
your continuing adventures!
