Azjol-Nerub

Azjol-Nerub is one of the underground dungeons that can be found in the
Pit of Narjun in the western portion of Dragonblight. It is the upper
portion of the kingdom once inhabited by the arachnid-like Nerubians.
Azjol-Nerub is now infested with Scourge and waits to be cleansed. This
dungeon requires level 70 to enter and contains 3 bosses. Heroic mode
is available.

Krik’thir
the
Gatewatcher

This
fight will begin with three groups of three spiders before you
engage Krik’thir himself. Each wave of spiders will have a
miniboss and two adds. If a wave contains a Anub’ar
Skirmisher it should be killed first as they will drop agro and focus
on a random target. Web Wrap will be cast randomly on players
throughout the fight. These web wraps cannot be dispelled, but can be
removed by having other players attack the web wrappings. Once all
three waves are defeated you will engage Krik’thir.

Krik’thir himself is basically a tank and spank. He will cast
Mind Flay and Curse of Fatigue which curses all enemies in a 5 yard
radius doing Shadow damage and slowing movement, attack, and casting
speed by 30%. Spreading out to reduce the number of people cursed is
advised. Krik’thir will also summon small bug adds throughout
the fight which can be easily killed with AOE. Krik’thir will
enrage somewhere between 10 to 20 percent health increasing his attack
speed.

A tricky achievement indeed. You must kill Krik’thir while
all three Watchers are still alive. Probably the easiest way to do this
is to have one of your party members volunteer for a suicide mission.
Preferably this will be a class that has a AOE or taunt abilities
(cannot be the tank).  Have this player get as close to the
boss and packs of mobs as possible. Then the player should AOE or
otherwise pull all the packs and the boss. The tank should be ready to
do a quick pick up on the boss while the player runs as quickly as
possible with the packs of adds, including the three Watchers down the
hallway towards the entrance to the instance, hopefully running fast
enough to be out of LOS before the first Web Wrap can be cast. The
remaining players should DPS the boss as hard as possible. You should
easily be able to take down the boss before the packs kill your brave
party member and run back up the hallway to you. As long as the party
member who ran the add packs does not zone out they will be able to
gain this achievement as well.

style="font-weight: bold;">Hadronox

When your group enters the room Hadronox will be fought in you will see
a group of three Nerubians. Once engaged 2 more groups will spawn
making it important to pull the first group back so you do not agro all
three. Hadronox will be located under you, fighting more Nerubians.
This is a timed gauntlet, with waves of non-elite spiders spawning from
the three doors located above the main room. After clearing the room it
is recommended just to sit and wait. Kill any non-elites that attack
you and wait for Hadronox to make his way to you.

Once inside the room Hadronox will web the doors and the non-elite mobs
will stop spawning. Hadronox has a low amount of HP but can do some
nasty poison damage. He will cast Acid Clouds which party members will
need to move out quickly, and a Leech Posion that will drain health
from enemies and give back to the caster. This can and should
be dispelled if possible. He also does Web Grab which will do damage
and pull players towards him, and Pierce Armor that will reduce your
tank’s armor by 50% for 8 seconds. But these abilities are
nothing to be worried about; after the poisons he is nothing more than
a tank and spank.

This achievement will require you to defeat Hadronox before he webs the
doors and prevents more mobs from spawning. This achievement will
require your group to at least have a little gear and skill. In order
to do this you will need to engage the boss before he makes it to the
top of the web and closes the doors. After you have defeated the third
mob pack your tank should move to the left side of the room close to a
spike that is poking out of the web. Seconds later Hadronox will begin
to walk up with tons of adds on him. Your tank should move forward and
taunt him off these mobs and then move back to the spike facing
Hadronox towards where new adds will come from. The rest of the party
should move behind Hadronox to avoid extra poison damage. The boss
should at this point already be at roughly 80% health from the adds
attacking him. Do not do anything to get these mobs off the boss or
kill them. Any new adds will be poisoned by Hadronox and they will be
forced to agro on him. With your DPS and the DPS of the adds Hadronox
should go down quickly and should not have enough time to kill an add
and regain health. The adds will not despawn after the boss dies and
will need to be picked up and killed.

style="font-weight: bold;">Anub’arak

The Anub’arak fight has two main phases. In Phase 1 Anub will
be above ground and is basically a spank and tank. He has two abilities
during Phase 1, Pound and Locust Swarm. To avoid getting your party
killed by pound always have Anub facing the entrance while everyone
besides the tank stands behind him. Locust Swarm will do a small amount
of damage to your entire party over time and is nothing to be worried
about as long as you have a good healer. Anub will burrow underground
at certain HP intervals thus entering Phase 2. While submerged Anub
will try to Impale players. This is easily avoidable as there will be a
disturbance in the dirt below you. Simply move off the dirt and you
will miss the Impale. During this Phase various mobs will spawn and
must be picked up by the tank and killed. After a time Anub will
resurface and Phase 1 will begin again. Repeat Phase 1 and 2 until Anub
is dead.

style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(30, 66, 137);">

This achievement requires
your party to defeat Anub’arak in 4 minutes or less. This is
rather simple as you don’t have to do anything differently
except DPS a little harder. Use all your cool downs, blow
Bloodlust/Heroism if you have it and be sure all adds spawned
during
Phase 2 are dead before Anub’arak resurfaces so all DPS can
be focused on him.

style="font-weight: bold;">Ahn’kahet: The
Old Kingdom

Ahn’kahet is the second and lower dungeon located in
Azjol-Nerub and until recently was still controlled by the Nerubians.
When an earthquake rocked the land it pushed Ahn’kahet closer
to the surface exposing the kingdom to attacks. A fight for control of
the kingdom rages within.

style="font-weight: bold;">Prince Taldaram

Before you can engage Prince Taldaram your party will need to engage
the 2 Ancient Nerubian Devices located on two platforms. Once engaged
Taldaram will summon Flame Spheres throughout the fight, but they
cannot be killed and will shoot fire beams at any player close to them.
Moving away from these is a very good idea. He will also Vanish at
various times and use Embrace of the Vampyr. In order to stop Prince
Taldaram from feeding on the target player your group will have to
burst DPS him down. This is especially important in heroic as the
player targeted cannot be healed.

This achievement forces you to defeat Prince Taldaram minus one person
in your party.  There is no real trick to doing this, just be
sure to get four players together that you know play well. Obviously
the hard part here is with only four in the party you will be killing
Prince even slower allowing him to put out more Flame Spheres and use
his Embrace. If your party plays smart and well you will gain this
achievement.

style="font-weight: bold;">Jedoga Shadowseeker

Be prepared for this boss as she will engage as soon as all the
Twilight Initiates are dead. She will then call 20 more adds to the
fight and more on the stairs. Be sure to have your entire party on the
platform or they will be killed by these mobs. Jedoga will use two main
abilities: Cyclone Strike which will hit everyone around her but is
easily avoided if all melee runs out of range. She will also cast
Thunderstorm which will target a random player. Spreading out here is a
good idea. At 75%, 50%, and 25% she will attempt to sacrifice one of
the Volunteers standing around. This Volunteer should be killed as
quickly as possible otherwise Jedoga will gain an increased damage buff
that will cause her to hit with all attacks for more. If she does gain
this buff it is very important for all players to avoid Thunderstorm
and Cyclone Strike as they could easily one shot a player.

This achievement requires your party to not kill any of the Twilight
Volunteers. This means that you will have to allow Jedoga to sacrifice
them. She will then gain Gift of the Herald mentioned above, making it
important that your party avoids all of her attacks if possible.
Healers should be ready to heal the massive damage the tank will take
and the tank should use any damage reducing abilities they have.
Killing her quickly will help here as she will have less time to
sacrifice more Volunteers.

style="font-weight: bold;">Harold Volazj

Volazj is probably one of the hardest fights in the instance and can
easily wipe a raid. He has two phases. The first phase he will use
mainly shadow abilities including Mind Flay which can be Spell
Reflected. He will use Shiver which will do damage to all players
around the targeted player so spreading out here is wise. Finally he
will use Shadow Bolt Volley which will do damage to all players in the
room and should just be healed through. At 66% and 33% he will use
Insanity thus entering Phase 2. During this time players cannot attack
Harold but will be forced to fight 4 Twisted Visages who will use the
same abilities of the other party members. Once all your Twisted
Visages are dead you will be allowed to help other party members defeat
theirs. Once all Twisted Visages are dead you will phase back and be
able to once again attack Harold Volazj.

Killing Harold Volazj in 2 minutes or less is harder than it sounds. In
order to complete this achievement you will need to have an ideal
group. Bringing a Prot Warrior to tank is essential. The Warrior can
Spell Reflect Volazj’s Mind Flay causing huge damage. Also
having a DPS who can also heal, heal this fight will mean you will be
able to quickly take down the Twisted Visages and give yourself more
time to focus on taking down Harold Volazj.

style="font-weight: bold;">Elder Nadox

Nadox is located in a room full of eggs. Once engaged Nadox will begin
hatching eggs, spawning tiny Ahn’kahet Swarmers who can
easily be killed with any AOE. At 75%, 50%, and 25% an
Ahn’kahar Guardian will be summoned. DPS should kill this
Guardian off quickly as he will produce an aura preventing damage to
other mobs. Nadox will also do Blood Plague which is a DoT disease that
does nature damage every few seconds. It is cleansable but not overly
hard to heal through if ignored and will only be cast on the person
with the highest threat. This fight is pretty much a tank and spank as
long as you can kill the adds quickly.

This achievement will require you to defeat Elder Nadox without killing
any Ahn’kahar Guardians. In order to do this achievement two
tanks will be required. The first tank should take the boss to the very
end of the room. The rest of the group should start killing the boss as
usual. Once the first add spawns your second tank should pick it up and
drag it to the opposite side of the room from the boss. The add should
be tanked there while the rest of the raid continues to DPS the boss.
Your healer should be able to stand in the middle of the room and heal
both the MT and OT. When the small spiders spawn the MT
should  attempt to pick them up so they are pulled to where
the boss is being tanked. They can then easily be killed by AOE damage.
Keeping these small adds off your healer is essential.
