Buffed All Winter style="color: rgb(30, 66, 137);">

style="color: rgb(30, 66, 137);">Possess the effects
of Toasty Fire, Storm Power, and Starlight at the same time

The friendly NPCs will provide these buffs for you;, however it will
take some luck to gain this achievement. Storm Power will be cast on a
random player throughout the fight, while the Toasty Fire and Starlight
buffs will be cast in random static locations throughout the room. In
order to complete this achievement be on the lookout for beams of light
on top of fires, however don‘t get yourself killed in the
process. Most likely you will gain this achievement quite by accident
as there is so much going on during the fight. Don’t stress
out and one night you will see this achievement pop up on your screen.

I
Have the Coolest Friends

style="color: rgb(30, 66, 137);">Defeat Hodir without
any of the friendly NPC dying

Probably the easiest achievement for Hodir, this will require none of
the friendly NPCs who are in Ice Blocks at the beginning of the fight
to die. When the fight begins, break the NPCs out as usual, and proceed
with the fight. The NPCs can not be healed, or controlled. The only
detail that you have to worry about, is when the NPCs get Ice Blocked
again. If they are not broken out quickly, and Hodir casts Flash Freeze
they will die instantly. So the key to this achievement is having your
raid focus fire the NPCs out of the Ice Blocks each and every time it
happens. Do this throughout the fight until Hodir is dead and this
achievement will be yours.

style="color: rgb(30, 66, 137);">Cheese the Freeze

style="color: rgb(30, 66, 137);">Defeat Hodir without
any raid member being hit by Flash Freeze

This achievement is somewhat of an idiot check. All your raid members
need to do is stay out of every Flash Freeze cast by Hodir by standing
in the Snowdrifts. Snowdrifts are spawned just before Hodir casts Flash
Freeze by Icicles falling to the ground. Please note that the blue
circle cast before the Icicle falls is not the Snowdrift, just a
marker. A few seconds after the marker is placed a large ball of snow
will fall from the ceiling. Anyone standing in this will be knocked
back and take frost damage. This means you need to wait till after the
snow falls to jump in it, otherwise there is a good chance you will
either die, or get knocked too far back to get into the Snowdrift. If
your raid is on its toes and every single person gets in the
Snowdrift thereby avoiding the Flash Freeze you will gain this
achievement easily.

Getting
Cold in Here

style="color: rgb(30, 66, 137);">Defeat Hodir without
any raid member having more than 2 stacks of Biting Cold

This is the raid version of Keristrasza’s Intense Cold,
except instead of gaining the achievement based on personal performance
you must rely on the entire raid to fulfill the requirements, making
this achievement much, much harder to get. Biting Cold stacks will be
placed on the entire raid over time. Constant movement and/or proximity
to the Toasty Fires created by the mage NPC will prevent you from
gaining stacks. Keeping the whole raid moving, or having them move to
each Toasty Fire as it spawns is the key to this achievement. To
complicate things Freeze, which will immobilize the targeted player,
will also be cast randomly on players throughout the fight. Toasty
Fires will prevent freeze from taking effect, and Freeze can
also be dispelled. Flash Freeze will also be cast throughout the fight.
This ability is completely avoidable as long as everyone makes it into
the Snowdrift. Anyone who is not able to do this will be frozen in an
Ice Block that cannot be dispelled and will gain more than the 2 Biting
Cold debuffs allowed. So have your raid avoid the Flash Freeze, dispell
the Freeze, keep moving, and hug the Toasty Fires when you can and this
achievement will be in the bag.

I
Could Say That Cache Was Rare

style="color: rgb(30, 66, 137);">Defeat Hodir before
he shatters his rare cache

In order to do this achievement you will need to kill Hodir in under 3
minutes, before he smashes the first loot cache. This is also
considered to be Hodir’s hard mode. This is a pretty straight
forward hard mode as Hodir does not really gain any new abilities, nor
does he do any extra damage or have any extra health. Only two healers
should be
brought to the fight as you will need every ounce of DPS you can
muster. Once the fight begins break out all of the NPCs to start. All
of the extra damage buffs given should be utilized at all times. Assign
one member of the raid to focus on standing next to each Toasty Fire,
which will keep the singed debuff active. The person who gains Storm
Power should stand still as much as possible allowing others to gather
around and gain the buff as well. The mage and shaman add should be
marked with a symbol to make them easier to find later. Once the first
Flash Freeze happens only the mage and shaman should be freed from the
Ice Block, the others should be left to perish. Use all resources and
cool downs available to you during Flash Freeze (with only two healers
the healing will be intense) to keep the tank and raid alive, if anyone
dies it will probably spell the end of your attempt at this
achievement. Other than that DPS, DPS, DPS. Blow all cool downs and
don’t hold back. Do not be surprised if your raid
doesn’t manage to get this the first time around. Get some
more gear, and come back and try it again and eventually you will be
the masters of the cache.
