style="color: rgb(29, 66, 136); font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold;">Stop
me if you’ve heard this one.
So
a Shaman walks into Utgarde keep…ok, I
have no punch line.

Utgarde
Keep is a great dungeon to start getting used to
whichever Shaman build you’ve chosen. The trash mobs
throughout the dungeon aren’t really anything
to be concerned with.
Use these
encounters to get your spell rotations moving a little smoother. style="">  If
you’ve changed builds this a good time to
get used to your new keyboard layout.

style="color: rgb(29, 66, 136); font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold;">Prince
Keleseth

For any Shaman build, use a macro to target the Frost Tomb
that this boss casts. Cast a Lightning Bolt and a Shock to free those
encased in
the Frost Tomb. Grounding Totem may be used to absorb some of
Keleseth’s Shadow
Bolts.

style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Restoration
Shaman; keep an Earth Shield
on the tank, and
just spam the chain heals.
If you are
caught in a Frost Tomb, make sure to let your group know. It most
likely won’t
kill you, but why take that chance.

style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Elemental
Shaman
; Magma Totem will help
with the Skeletons that
Keleseth will summon. Try and interrupt the Shadow Bolts with an Earth
or Wind
Shock.
When the Skeletons are
grouped
casting Thunderstorm won’t hurt here either.

style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Enhancement
Shaman; “Release
the hounds” Keep those Feral
Spirit spells rolling. Like other builds it wouldn’t hurt to
try and interrupt
the Shadow Bolts too.

style="color: rgb(29, 66, 136); font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold;">Skarvald
& Dalronn

All Shaman Builds; nothing special about this fight. Just a
generic tank and spank.

style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Restoration
Shaman; Earth Shield the tank
and Chain Heal the
group.

style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Elemental
Shaman
; Magma Totem and
Thunderstorm will assist
in trying to kill both Mobs at the same time.

style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Enhancement
Shaman; Magma Totem for that
AOE, other just
work on the spank part of tank and spank.

style="color: rgb(29, 66, 136); font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold;">Ingvar
the Plunderer

All Shaman Builds; Save your Bloodlust until the second
phase of the encounter.
It will be a
race to DPS the boss down.

style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Restoration
Shaman
; Try and stay at your
maximum cast range.
Make sure to keep Earth Shield on your main Tank. Use Riptide on your
main
Tank. You may want to make greater use of your Light Healing Wave here,
spam on
which player needs it most.

style="font-weight: bold;">Elemental
Shaman
; Do your best to stay
at maximum range.
Emit as much DPS as possible. Don’t be shy to assist with the
healing
throughout the encounter.

style="font-weight: bold;">Enhancement
Shaman
; Just do what you do
best, DPS the hell
out of Ingvar. Just do it Rouge style, from behind. The
majority of critical
damage produced by Ingvar will come from the front of him. Like your
Elemental brethren, feel free to help out with the healing as need be.

Following
a few of these Shaman tips should make your run
through Utgarde swift and painless.
