Wargaming is celebrating its 15th anniversary in the gaming industry a bit early with some big announcements this week. The developer/publisher recently acquired the Total Annihilation and Masters of Orion IPs. While it’s too early for Wargaming to reveal any details about what they have planned for the IPs, Wargaming CEO Victor Kislyi did state that “we [Wargaming] are more than willing to give a new lease of life to these games most of us grew up playing. It’s exactly where our major focus will be.”
Wargaming also confirmed that the upcoming launch of World of Warplanes will also include British aircraft prior to its official release. The game is currently in open beta.
Lastly, Wargaming announced that the newly opened office in Austin, Texas will be the home for Wargaming’s Production Center, Global Business Intelligence group, and Central Tech. The office will be responsible for the coordination, analyzing, management, and support of the company’s design and production process to help streamline the studio’s global communication.
