Continental Flavor: Which is Your
Favorite?

This week, we're interested to hear about which continent you enjoy
most in Vanguard. I'll tell
you what I like and dislike about each continent. Then you tell me!

Kojan

Good: From the Asian theme to
the spiritual-based quests, Kojan is a relaxing continent with more
color perhaps than anywhere else in Telon. The architecture is
awe-inspiring, and the landscapes are serene. The starting quests are
enthralling for just about any race. The area is also small, making
travel a snap.



Bad: Content on Kojan will get
you to level 15 (maybe even 20 if you stretch), but then you must leave
the island to advance your character. You cannot play a cleric on
Kojan. It rains a lot (and I mean a LOT). The quests sorta die out. You
leave the continent to progress, but none of the quest lines go with
you. You just pick up new ones in Qalia or Thestra.

Good: It's easy to find groups
in Qalia, as it supports major hubs (such as Khal and Ahgram). There's
some content for all levels on Qalia. Players can start any class on
Qalia. Some of the best group quests for the 20s and 30s can be found
here. Qalia has the single most popular chunk for level 50 players in
Rahz Inkur (RI).



Bad: Qalia is a barren desert
continent. You mostly end up looking at sand, with environments colored
almost exclusively in different shades of brown.

Thestra

Good: The largest of the
continents, Thestra has a ton of content. The content ranges for all
levels and group sizes. The continent has some forest areas, swamps,
mountains, and plains, adding a little variety to the scenery. Everyone
and his momma ends up at some of the major cluster points on Thestra:
New Targonor, Southwatch, Three Rivers, and The Deebs.



Bad: The largest of the
continents, travel around Thestra can be a pain even with the Riftway
system. You cannot start a Monk or Disciple on Thestra. The color
palette for Thestra is mostly green, brown, gray. Everyone and his
momma ends up at some of the major cluster points on
Thestra: New Targonor, Southwatch, Three Rivers, and The Deebs.
