With the Night of Murder upon us, those of you Lore-ites out there may wonder if this really has anything to do with Warhammer Online or is just a clever gimmick to get you to play more. The answer is the former, as "Death Night" has its roots deep in Druchii history. In honor of this Live Event being brought to life, Tome of Knowledge has a great write up on the history of the Dark Elves

This stark devotion to Khaine makes up a rigid backbone to Dark Elf, or Druchii society. A prosperous people and skilled warriors, Dark Elves are wholly devoted to the aspects of Khaine in everything they do. As skilled corsairs, they sail their long ships, the Black Arks, into the neighboring High Elf settlements and capture entire populations, only to have a large portion of those slaves slaughtered in Khaine’s name as large scale blood sacrifices. In fact, the whole economy in Dark Elf society is based on the selling, trading, and sacrificing of slaves...
