Women do make games.
MMORPG.com recently posted a developer profile of Funcom's Content Designer Helene Johnsen. You can find out all about her past in video games and what led her to join the industry and her work on Age of Conan Hyborian Adventure.
I grew up in the countryside in the southern part of Norway. The time after school where mostly spent outside playing in the fields and forests with my neighbors. I guess this played a great part in developing my sense of adventure.
