One quick note: As this is the premier showing of Aion: Tower of Eternity in the Western marketplace, we were asked to keep the presenter in the frame at all times. We did our best to keep the contrast level under control so that the game demo doesn't appear washed out - it was the brightest object in the fairly dark room- but the presenter may appear dark at times.
In the first part of the premier reveal of Aion: Tower of Eternity video , NCSoft Germany Community Coordinator Martin Rabl demoed this fresh entirely fresh take on the fantasy MMOG category. With a look that's part Final Fantasy XI and part Soul Caliber series but, especially with regards to storyline, Aion has a style that's all it's own and is among the most promising of a wave of titles from Korea that seek to change how we think of an Asian MMO port.
Part 2 of the Aion reveal video will show you what really sets the gameplay of Aion apart - flight that's fully integrated with combat - as Martin continues the demo. Also, Senior Designer Kyoung Choi steps in to answer our questions about the game (and also to show us a few choice emotes!).
