An inside look at World of Darkness?
Rarely do individuals from the gaming press get to sit down in the same room with the executives of the companies we write about. However, at this year's Austin Game Developers Conference Cody "Micajah" Bye did just that with the leaders of CCP|White Wolf, Hilmar Petursson and Mike Tinney. In their candid discussion, Mike and Hilmar explain how the merger of the two former companies has progressed and what sort of products they expect to see in the future. Enjoy!
"I was quite surprised myself," Hilmar added, "at the number of players in EVE that were already familiar with World of Darkness. There was a couple from New Zealand that was at our first FanFest where the future husband proposed on stage. Later, that same couple was in Iceland again when we announced the merger between the companies. They had actually met while doing live action roleplaying (LARP) and that was how they got to know each other. He now works for us in Iceland - they define the merger for us on so many levels."
