Sony has updated the Artisan's page with a bit more detailed information on the archetypes. Trade skills in Everquest2 are done differently than in Everquest1. They are grouped into professions much the same way that classes are done. However, they are seperate entities. You can be a Templar/Carpenter or a Shaman/Tailor. No trade skills are tied to any specific race or class. Professions are advanced through experiance gained while trade skilling much the same as classes are advanced through killing MOBs.
