Ready to show the big old dogs a new trick, Artix launches browser based budget MMO.

Looking to launch the sleeper game of the year, Artix is hoping that the positive feedback from their beta of AdventureQuest Worlds will translate into mainstream gaming and take everyone by surprise. The first 100% browser-based MMO will launch free to play and requires no client download. That's right, no client to download. Just fire up an account and start playing. Artix announces they have over 60 million registered accounts for their flash-based games, and yet tout their grass-roots upbringing:

"Our Beta testers' positive responses indicate our move into MMOs was the right decision," says Daniel Vasile, Business Development Manager of Artix Entertainment. "We're especially excited that AdventureQuest Worlds may be the first MMO developed by a small, family-owned game development studio. Our project shows MMO developers and players worldwide that a small, truly dedicated team can create a quality browser-based MMOG without spending millions of dollars."

The new MMO AdventureQuest Worlds is really the successor of their RPG AdventureQuest and provide real time combat and weekly updates to the content. Players have multitudes of options to customize their characters and can change classes anytime as well as level all classes to the max level. To start your account, go to AdventureQuest Worlds.
