In just a few days time, Blade and Soul will finally launch in America and Europe. It’s an exciting time for a lot of players and with that in mind, I’ve pulled together some key information you all might need when venturing into the game.
Blade and Soul launches on January 19, 2016. If you have a Founder’s Pack, the game will become available on January 15, 2016.
Not at all, they’re available now from the official website, with three options available.
Name reservations have already began. Simply download the client, login and select your server/character. There are some restrictions however as if you own the Disciple Founder’s Pack, you can only make 1 character. Those who own the Master Founder’s Pack can secure two. Initiate Founder’s Pack owners cannot reserve names.
Yes, there’s a 6 minute reservation once you’ve named your character. If you don’t like your look, delete it and go again.
There are a total of 7 classes available at launch, with both the Warlock or Qi Master being added after release. Those available are:
Assassin Blade Dancer Blade Master Destroyer Force Master Kung Fu Master SummonerThey’re all fairly balanced, to be honest. The only ranged class however is the Summoner so if that’s your play style, you might want to look there.
Yes. There are two factions available in Blade and Soul: The Cerulean Order and The Crimson Legion. They’re primarily for PvP.
There are a total of four races: Gon, Lyn, Yun and Jin. Three (Gon, Lyn, Jin) are typically human in appearance. The Yun are a small diminutive race with ears. There are no race advantages.
At the moment it’s set to 45 but it’s higher (above 50). At level 50, when it’s eventually released, you can unlock additional classes such as the Warlock.
Yes and you’ll gain access to everything even as a free to play game. There is a Premium Membership, which provides some benefits. Membership will feature five tiers with bonus percentages allocated for each tier. A player's tier will rise the more they spend in-game currency or NCoin, regardless of whether they're active members. This means that even if a player becomes a member for the first time, if enough in-game currency has been spent, that player can start with a tier 5 membership.
Not at all. The cash shop is only for cosmetic items, bank slot expansion and some consumables. All items must be earned in game and spending money provides no advantage over another player who doesn’t.
Simply login to your Blade and Soul account, and head to your account page on the official website. You can buy it directly from there.
We’ll publish our list on launch but the best I can say is don’t equip your faction outfit. It’ll flag you for PvP and people will be able to attack you. Also, don’t throw away your starting away - you can use it in PvP even if it’s broken and it’ll still deal maximum damage.
Hit this link, it’ll take you to the installer.
Think we've missed an important question? Let us know and we'll add it to the list above.
