2011 looks to be a promising year for superhero-based MMOGs. While many players are enjoying the launch of DC Universe Online (DCUO) today, Champions Online revealed their own special announcement that steals a little bit of DCUO's thunder. The latest announcement from Cryptic and Atari reveals the official launch date of the Champions Online free-to-play, which will officially begin on January 25th, 2011.
So what do you get with Champions Online Free-to-Play? You can play all the game's content except the Adventure Packs, unlimited play time, create your own base archetype hero. Check out the official Champions Online website for all the details.
