The Power Empire - Clan Website
The Power Empire is an online community that was founded in 1995. Its members have played numerous MMORPG for over a decade from Ultima Online to Age of Conan. TPE is more than a gaming guild, its a community. We strive to be the best but we know how to have fun. Information is power so we work together to achieve our goals.
In age of conan our goal is to be the best and the first to major server achievements. We will draw on our experienced members to help new players integrate into our community. Not only do we look to better ourselves but to assist the community with guides, tips and hints onto our website. If your wanting to be one of the first to explore all areas of the game then look no further than TPE.
Aegis Of The Keep - Clan Website
Our clan has been specifically set up for age of conan and we have a lot of experienced gamers both in leading clans and playing mmo's. Whilst we are serious about our clan we are having fun in running it. Having said this we are planning on experiencing all aspects that Age of Conan has to offer. The clan as a whole is realistic in that we don't brag about being the best clan on the server we merly aim to be the best for our clan. You could say by trying to be the best for our clan then the clan itself will be one of the best.
Mythos - Clan Website
Mythos is a PvP/PvE guild that will be on a PvP server. We are a closely knit group and are dedicated to end game content. We are also interested in siege warfare and can't wait to do everything Age of Conan has to offer.
Sanguis Attexo - Clan Website
We are Sanguis Attexo, a guild for those wanting more out of being in a guild. We are euro situated at around GMT+1, we're going for a RP-PVP server and we're doing light RP, but RP is not needed. But respect the roleplayers! We have a hierarchy system, a guildbank system, a guild lore set up that also will evolve during play, a voting system, a splendid and well-functional web page, and soon guild crafting service system in our web page, and later we will add a DKP system for high level raiding. We have some important positions to hand out to the befitting new members. Detailed information about how we organize ourselves, and what structure we wish to use are all available on the website. We use a channel on IRC, Teamspeak (members only), and xfire. Axilya is our guild leader and head reqruiter, enter our website, join us, and progress!
Fallen Wild - Clan Website
Fallen Wild started life as a Counter Strike Source Clan in January of
this year but after nearly ten years of CS the Clan's founder and driving
force, Symon 'Death Jester' Gray introduced the rest of the admin team to
Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures. Most of us had played various MMO's
over the years, so we all thought we knew what to expect. . . . Boy were
we wrong. Here we are four months later with a great website and over
fourty, active members. It's been a lot of fun and hard work but May 23rd
should make it all worth while.
Sol Invictus - The last few weeks of Sol Invictus have been a bit rocky. After learning what the FFA-PvP servers would entitle and what we see for those servers have made us change our focus from a FFA-pvp server to a PvE server. We feel that the PvE server will give us enough fun in the PvP scene to keep us busy and occupied. Our main focus will remain PvP / PvE. Due to that we would also like to announce that Trover one of our promising members has taken up the job as second Raid Leader for Sol Invictus. So welcome to him.
We are planning for a meeting on 11/05 and that will be the last one before release. The guild is hyped about getting started and to make a name for ourselves in the harsh world of Hyboria.
The Old Timers Guild - Due to the response of people wishing to join the guild we would like to let people know that we are going to stop processing new member applications on the 14th. This will last for 10 days so that as a guid we can meet the needs of our current members. We will still take a new application however we will not be looking at them again till the 24th.
The 3305 Local - We'd like you to meet some of the officers that will be helping 3305
Local's launch into Age of Conan.
Our guildleader, Darkmenace, will have the greatest of honors by leading
our band of marauders deep into the mountains of Cimmeria and carve out a
proud city and naturally build a battle keep.
Together with the members of 3305 and veteran advisors, Xaielao (Adjutant),
Sefus (HR), Voidlox (Military) and drawing heavily on the support of
Elckerlijc (City Planning and Engineering) and Moon (Recruitment) to
continue the fight our ancestors started to abolish slavery in Hyboria.
If you'd like to know more, then we invite you to meet us on our forums.
Brotherhood of the Spider - Just a reminder to any North American PvE guilds: If you would like to avoid a stagnant, boring server join us by joining a competitive server on launch day. Send Notleh a PM on the TTH forums.
This week, I asked the Clans a very dividing question...
Hows Your Clan Been Enjoying the Open Beta So Far?
While the Open Beta period for Age of Conan started a bit rocky thanks to some pretty painful bugs, the client's since been patched up to a much more stable build and now the whole thing's an Open PvP warzone. Here's some of our Clans' thoughts on the matter.
Sol Invictus - Here's some of our members' opinions on their experience so far, though admittedly a lot of the issues have been rectified already.
The Old Timers Guild - I am happy to say that the response from our members has been very positive. Many are now looking to spend the 5 dollars to start the game play on the 17th myself included.
Yes we have seen some griefing and some bugs and issues however none of them have deterred us from wanting to play. The only difficult choice we face now is...
When we order our pizza do we want Mountain Dew or Pepsi?
oh the tough choices one must make!
Varangian Order - How has the Varangian Order been enjoying the Open Beta so far? Great! Weve been getting together a fair bit on Teamspeak to discuss the beta, with poor plebs like me, who arent in the beta, hanging off every word. The only problem is that our beta players dont actually stop playing to tell us about it. So between discussion on what resource nodes look like, theres a loud What the..? Get himmmmm!. To tell you the truth I think we need a bit an education on adjective use in our guild. To quote those guys from our guild who are playing: Awesome, its awesome, oh you should see us were awesome, yeh its awesome.
The funniest story to come out of yesterdays chat was from Sulgrith, Aroc, and Dakaan who decided to take on the world, or at least, a tiny bit of it, by holding a bridge. They say that all they wanted was a little respect, and that they killed anyone who didnt pay that respect about 20 people in all. The story goes that people really started to fear them and that there was regional chat going on telling people to avoid the bridge. The funniest thing was that people started to jump off the cliff to try and get across. And all they had to do was pay a little respect guess thats what happens when youre dealing with PvPers, theyd rather jump off a cliff than role-play a little.
Here is a brief YouTube clip of some of their antics - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlBEWPTdwbI
Note the Tempest almost got the better of them though! I think Funcom needs to implement a few more emotes, namely, A self congratulatory pat on the back and AWESOME.
Brotherhood of the Spider - Here's some of our members' responses.
Additionally Open Beta has given BotS a great opportunity to test the game out and see how enjoyable the game is. We had great expectations about this game, and it's fulfilled almost all our expectations about this game's fun factor. Aside from some bugs and some unfinished work some of the classes have, it's been pretty fun to play so far.
We had a the chance to test out different classes and see the different feats all the classes have, and with that we have a greater view on how the classes play and help us decide on which ones we'll create when the game is released.
The PvP experience was pretty fun as well. This game has a huge potential and will attract a lot of people thanks to the well-designed combat system.
Vigor Mortis - Actually, very few people in the guild seemed to want to pay to play an open beta to lvl 13, but those that did buy the game, like our media officer Andy, has been playing it non-stop for quite some time. we do have a couple of people in the closed beta as well, and they are certainly enjoying it.
Gladius - How is Gladius enjoying the Open Beta? Well we are having a blast besides everyone rolling assassins for PVP and making PVP blah. We are having a great time. We have all rolled multiple characters and gotten them to 13. Now we are preparing to enjoy our gift from Funcom this weekend.
That's it for this week folks. Remember to check back on Friday for the next clan interview: The Hammerfist Clan! And just think all you have to do to have your clan highlighted is sign up to be a member of Clan Soup!
We're always accepting new members and all you have to do is follow the instructions found on this page. And don't forget to check out the Clan Registry to get a look at all the clans in one heaping mound of goodness! It's changing every week, so go take a look!
Until next time, eat well fellow Hyborians!
