Class changes are coming soon! Eq2 will be doing away with archetypes and sub-classes, allowing you to choose your final class from the start. This major change in the class system leaves a lot of unanswered questions, one being, will a respec be allowed or even needed? Moorgard addresses this today in a response to a players post:
At character creation you will choose a class, much like in EQ. You will have access to the 24 choices that currently make up our subclasses (depending on whether you choose to be good or evil, of course).
