Crowfall Creates a Monster...

by on Oct 21, 2015

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary, Over many a quaint and curious realm of forgotten web- While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping...

Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak October;

And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the Vod.

    Eagerly I wished the morrow;—vainly I had sought to borrow

    From my books surcease of sorrow—sorrow for the lost J. Todd—

For the rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name J. Todd—

            Nameless here for evermore...

The ArtCraft team has been promoting their cosplay contest for most of the month, but must have decided that they needed to bump things up a notch as the competition enters its final week of submissions. As masters of marketing thus far in their Crowfall campaign - the team has done it again.

Actually... let me take that back...

They've never done anything this good, or bad, depending on how much you enjoy elf ears, the color black, and a recurring trauma. The creepy and ever-present crouching form brings a whole new meaning to the term "creative oversight".

Normally I'd be inclined to shoot down a bad pun, but instead this entertaining bit has me making them. If you've never seen what tragedy looks like, go ahead and check out the video below. Unfortunately I first must preface your dive by warning you that what you're about to watch can't be unseen...

Crowfall and the entire ArtCraft team has finally embraced an official mascot, and I'm willing to bet that they will probably deeply regret this comedic pursuit.

Make an emo man-crow in tights they said.

It'll be fun they said.

Hey Todd.

Every. Single. Day.

Don't ever stop...

And the Raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting

On the pallid bust of Pallas just above the ArtCraft studio doors;

    And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon’s that is dreaming,

    And the lamp-light o’er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor;

And their souls from out that shadow that lie floating on the floor

            Shall be lifted—nevermore!
