Maxis has announced the start of open beta for their online action RPG Darkspore. Open beta kicked off yesterday, allowing players to take part in four-player cooperative gameplay or indulge in the game's single-player campaign mode. If you're up for more of a challenge, take on your fellow players in some fast-paced PvP gameplay. Darkspore offers three character classes and dozens of genetic heroes that can be upgraded with thousands of body parts, weapons and armor.
