Move over Righteous Brothers!

Ralsu examines the abundant choices of buffs and crowd control spells available to bards able to cast Level 2 spells. He rates them all on a scale of 1 to 5 and explains what's good and what's bad about each one:

Notes: A buff to any stat is usually appreciated, but many bards question the value of selecting these spells with their limited slots. The arguments against picking Cat's Grace would be that you can get the same spell in a wand or from another caster in the party. The case for Cat's Grace is that it is extendable when you cast it from your prepared spells list--spells from wands are not. My advice is to select a different spell unless buffing is your specialty.

Rating: 2
