First the Olympics and then the world! Wait, isn't the Olympics the world?

Today Larry Probst, Chairman of EA has been elected as the Chairman of the U.S. Olympic Committee. That has got to burn some people that a guy who makes simulations of games is now the leader.

From Larry's announcement via Kotaku:

"I'm extremely honored to be chosen for this role," Probst told the paper after his election to a four-year term. "I've had a lot of sports experience as a CEO. I've had a very successful business career. I know how to work collaboratively with people. I know how to build and develop a team."

In yet another way that video games truly are taking over the world, we now have the Olympics. I wonder if Warhammer Online Khaine's Embrace will be a new Olympic sport?
