I found this interesting article over at worldofwar.net in their forums, Everything You Want to Know About 1.8 But Were Afraid To Ask by squigipapa. It discusses in depth (very in depth) the upcoming changes to weapon damage in version 1.8. While most applicable to rogues and warriors, almost anyone should be interested in this thread, its a very good read.
