Very few games are as polarizing as Final Fantasy XI is. Many people loved it, which is evident by it still holding a fairly good population of core players.

Very few games are as polarizing as Final Fantasy XI is. Many people loved it, which is evident by it still holding a fairly good population of core players. Many people also hated it, shown by a sharp decline shortly after a massive release. Some of us are still holding a grudge against Square Enix for their first attempt at a MMORPG, and are holding out on FFXIV as a result. We analyze the key problems and successes of the game and ask the key question; how can Final Fantasy XIV attract the jaded crowd after revealing that the races are the nearly the same this time around?
