Basically, what we have is this: "Wah wah wah, blah blah blah, I play WoW, but I got stuck writing this stupid EQ2 article, so I'm going to pretend to be unbiased, but the whole while I'm totally going to pump up WoW. I'm gonna go solo my 800th character to 60 in 4 days now, bye bye!"
The original EverQuest is indisputably the grandpappy of MMOs as we know them today. It wasn't the first of its kind, and it was far from perfect, but there's no denying how pervasive its influence was.
