Guild Housing

In WOW, what does every player do if they want to make it in the rough and tumble world of Azeroth and Kalimdor? Join a Guild!
Its been over a year now, and guilds are evolving into very close knit communities, where members know and care about eachother, work together for personal or communal gain. How great would it be if Guild housing and property be within the domain of the game?
There has been a large buzz lately and some amazing ideas put forth, check them out here!

Guild housing is not required, but a way for powerful guilds with wealthy members to spend their money on something extravagant to show off, be of some assistance for members, and something fun / cool to have. It would enhance the importance of belonging to a powerful guild. In my guild housing overview I will have alot of information on ways to make guild housing fun and to make them usful to their owners and members of the guild. I hope that just possibly, Blizzard might take a couple of the ideas listed in here and implement them later in the game. If anyone would like to help me by giving me an idea to add to this document please contact me by the info provided in the closing section.
Version 4.0: This is the fourth version of this post, and this update is the largest. I have incorperated the ideas from many WoW players who have taken the time to read the overview and reply with some feedback. So, thanks to everyone who has taken part in this thread, and the old thread(which is the largest on the forums). I am adding a Credits section to briefly state the names of the fellow players who have lent their time / ideas to the expansion of this idea.
