Ming over on the blizzard forums put together a few tips for rogues, to help with amassing honor kills.
Think of HK farming as gold farming. You do not want to farm gold in Tyr's Hand when there is another Rogue around. You do not want to farm HKs when they have a Hunter + Warlock squad hunting for you. Remember there is nothing to gain trying to prove something to a specific player in group PVP when he obviously has the advantage of the proper supporting cast, save that for 1v1 encounters. When a good location turns sour, don't waste your time, go somewhere else.
While most of the tips are only valid for rogues, every class should read it to learn how to avoid giving the other faction easy kills.
