First Korea, then the world.
Long on anticipation, Huxley appears to be coming to fruition. Webzen announced the open beta testing phase for the Korean market has begun which means they may hit the predicted 2008 launch. In true developer press release form Webzen announced:
"We are expecting great results from the Korean beta, leading to broad anticipation and excitement for Huxley all around the world."
The bending of traditional gaming genres is nothing new in theory, but few have done it well (maybe none?). Huxley is under significant pressure to break a number of the unwritten gaming traditions. Namely being an Asian MMO transferring successfully to North America, and being a successful genre-bender MMOFPS.
