We're not your average gamers ... or are we?
This week JP explores the meaning of the age old phrase, "the average gamer". Just who the hell is this "average gamer", and what makes him so damn important?
The term "the average gamer" is one of those terms that gets thrown around like a geek's backpack before the school bell rings. However, that term has always been a thorn in my mind. What is an "average" gamer? Does an average gamer even exist? Does the term change meaning or connotation when a politician uses it as opposed to
a gamer? Lastly, isn't there something a little condescending about being called "average"?
