Does Science Rule All?

Here is an interesting article on how video games are teaching players scientific method. It falls right in with my (Byron "Messiah" Mudry's) argument that everything comes down to math, and the sooner people realize that life and games all revolve around numbers the sooner they get better at both.

That's when it hit her: The kids were practicing science.

They were using the scientific method. They'd think of a hypothesis -- This boss is really susceptible to fire spells -- and then collect evidence to see if the hypothesis was correct. If it wasn't, they'd improve it until it accounted for the observed data.
