Just a note for our European friends
You really don't want the game of your choice to give you any reason to call them. But if you do have a problem and need support, it's nice to know that it's there, right? GOA - the contractor running Warhammer Online in Europe - has announced that they're opening a brand new Customer Service Center in Dublin, Ireland.
The Irish, frankly speaking, are thrilled.
This is a terrific announcement for Dublin and demonstrates the changing nature of our increasingly knowledge-based economy, said the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Mary Coughlan TD.
This powerful shift in our economic basis enables us to target investments at the cutting-edge of technology, and it is for these very reasons that the Government welcomes a company of this calibre and highly innovative nature.
GOA is a superb addition to the thriving games industry in Ireland. It is a market-leader in multi-player online role-playing games, which are highly popular across the world.
If you're a Dubliner and you're looking for a job, check it out because they're still hiring. Otherwise, just check it out because it's cool how our games really intersect with the world.
