No new info on Open Beta

Complaints have been flying around about the lack of information about the open beta. Blizzard posted the following as a bit of an update and to request a stop to the spam attacks on the forums.

Guys, I know you are desperate for new information. Let me assure you that the moment we have new information for you, we'll let you know.

However, petitions and constant posts about Open Beta will not get it to come any sooner, however much I know you'd like them to do so. :) To that end, please cut back on the posts about open beta. Yes, it's coming, but we have not announced a date yet. Please relax; there's no need to check the boards every five minutes. It will come when it comes, and not a moment before. :)
