Last week and in line with v36 we invited the Paragon Reddit community to vote on the balance of each Hero in Paragon. They were asked to mark Heroes out of the following:
This Hero is greatly underpowered. This Hero is underpowered. This Hero is slightly under-average. This Hero is balanced. This Hero is slightly above-average. This Hero is overpowered. This Hero is greatly overpoweredThe result from the majority of votes would place each respective Hero into a Tier, ranging from S+ (the very best) to 5 (the worst). There was no requirement for those voting to state their experience or why they reached their decision. In addition, it’s also important to remember that those who voted makes up a minute fraction of the Paragon player base. Below are the results, based on 325 players casting their votes across each Hero. You can view all the data at the end of the post.
1. Iggy & Scorch were voted the weakest Hero by some margin, with 65% of votes cast against him as "greatly underpowered".
2. Steel was 3.4% from being considered "greatly overpowered".
3. Feng Mao received the highest vote of confidence at being balanced, with 65% of the vote share as "balanced".
4. Greystone was in a league of his own with 47.1% of players considering him "greatly overpowered".
5. Grim.exe and Sparrow were the only rangers to fall below "balanced", with both considered "underpowered".
6. Grestone received the highest proportion of votes across "above average", "overpowered", "greatly overpowered".
7. Overall 17 out of 26 Heroes were considered "balanced".
8. Lt Belica and Crunch were both almost into "slightly under-average".
Tier S - These Heroes are unquestionably first pick, first ban material. Greatly overpowered.
Tier 1 - These popular Heroes are used by the majority of teams, for the majority of any match. They're always first choice. Overpowered.
Tier 2 - Very strong Heroes that are seen in almost every match. Slightly above-average.
Tier 3 - Strong situational Heroes or Heroes that are played regularly, but not in every match due to team composition. Considered 'balanced'.
Tier 4 - These Heroes are sometimes picked and often considered good, but they require teams to form around them or they’re Heroes that rely heavily on personal ability over composition. Slightly under-average.
Tier 5 - Considered niche, these Heroes are situational or rarely see play. Underpowered.
Tier 6 - Trash material and considered greatly underpowered.
No Heroes were considered "slightly under-average"
