Sony Online Entertainment has posted a new brief that offers some insight into the New Conglomerate empire faction of PlanetSide 2. Referred to by their enemies as traitors, rebels and terrorists; members of the New Conglomerate see themselves in a different light than that of their rivals. To members of the New Conglomerate these words simply translate to heroes, freedom fighters and protectors. Originally founded by some of Earth's most powerful corporations, the New Conglomerate's original goal was to work against some of the restrictive policies of the Terran Republic.
The New Conglomerate value freedom above all else and see anything that encroaches upon freedom as an affront to their fundamental rights.
The New Conglomerate's style of play is to hit first, hit hardest and they're able to take a beating. Their weapons pack a nasty punch but suffer from strong kickback, slower rates of fire and longer reload times. The New Conglomerate also has two empire specific vehicles with the Vanguard medium battle tank and Reaver attack fighter.
