Rift kicked off its open beta event yesterday and as part of the beta update, Trion Worlds has implemented a new Twitter function to allow you to keep in touch with your social circle while fending off rifts in Telara. The new Twitter function will allow players to tweet from in-game, automatically tweet their in-game achievements and share screenshots without ever leaving the game.
TRION KICKS OFF RIFT OPEN BETA, UNVEILS TWITTER FUNCTIONALITY
Six-day event begins today, sign up at www.riftgame.com/betasignup
The six-day Rift open beta event kicks off today at 10am PST with a bang or rather, a tweet. When players login to Trions upcoming MMORPG this week, theyll find new functionality that allows in-game updates to their Twitter feeds straight from the besieged world of Telara. Share screenshots, boast your latest achievement, or simply send an update to your friends - all from the in-game chat window.
Tweeting from Telara couldnt be easier. After entering your Twitter login info in the settings menu, players can simply type /tweet into in-game chat and update their feed. Achievements are tweeted automatically by default, but the option can be switched off in the settings menu.
The new functionality coincides with the open beta event scheduled to run February 15-21, which anyone can participate in by signing up for an account at www.riftgame.com/betasignup.
Dont forget to follow Rift on Twitter at twitter.com/Riftgame.
