With the big changes in a recent Live Update, we have gotten some very nifty new tools, one of which is for guild recruitment! And since some of us (not me, really!) have no clue how it all works and how exactly it's intended to work, then some of us might need to read this.
The elusive coder, Silverfrost, graces us with his presence and addresses us mere mortals with a few words on this new feature:
To understand where we are right now, it might help to understand the purpose of the guild recruiting tool (as I see it). My initial design for the guild recruiting tool was for it to be a way for players who are new to EverQuest II (and potentially new to MMOs entirely) to find a suitable group to socialize with. Given that it is intended to be used by players who are already trying to absorb a lot of information about how to play the game I designed it to have minimal barriers to entry.
