Ten Ton Hammer is proud to sponsor a unique giving opportunity this holiday season. Last week we ran a news story highlighting the fact that a number of developers at a prominent MMORPG development house were going without a paycheck, with no promise of when they could expect their pay in full. Yet these developers go to work each day, continuing to work on one of the most anticipated MMORPG titles of 2009.
We couldn't think of a worse time for this to happen then right before the holidays, so last weekend we selected a number of CME families that could really use a helping hand right now. We'll be collecting donations of five dollars and up (Paypal payments accepted) through next Monday, December 15th, and we'll donate a matching amount to the fund (up to $500) for the first 25 Ten Ton Hammer 1-year premium membership subscriptions purchased during this time.
We'll then distribute the fund to these parents equally through gift cards to kids toy and clothing retailers, or if payroll obligations are met by this time, we'll donate the full amount to Ronald McDonald House Charities instead.
