Ten Ton Hammer's First Look at "The Burning Crusade"

We’ve gone through the Dark Portal and brought back some really great screenshots of Blizzard’s upcoming expansion “The Burning Crusade”. We’ve got screens of Outland, the new races, and the upcoming interface changes. As always, click any image to see a bigger version of it.

Outlands

The Dark Portal! The way to the Dark Portal is cleared in The Blasted Lands. You can walk right up to it.

The sky in outland.

Fire erupts out of the ground! I don't think it does damage but it's REALLY COOL.

Pretty....

Fight for your honor! This is a giant ongoing battle infront of the Dark Portal. You get the ability to bypass it from the first quest you get.

This was taken after this big dude "dispatched" me.

Revenge, mwhaha. I actually didn't get a hit in on him but I was supporting our forces!

The road back to the Dark Portal. It's a real big road and there are a lot of high level monsters on it.

New monsters! Attempted to get a better look on this one but it was level 70 and scared me away.

Pretty.

The ground here is slanted.

Even more new monsters. Remember this one.

New Races

Blood Elf character creation.

Draenei character creation. Not that bad for a "monster" class if you ask me.

Opening cinematic, very pretty.

I wanted to cry this was so pretty. Burning Crusade is REALLY pretty, it's almost like... art.

Prepare for opening day by watching a full line of Blood Elf Mages questing in the newbie zone!

This is the portal to Stormwind bringing troops to the frontline. Sadly, you can't take the portal. This portal shows off a Draenei Paladin rushing to the aid of the Alliance! Go noble soldier.

Interface

The new interface options screen. If you don't click any other image, click this one. Self cast, one-click loot, and enemy cast bars pre-added!

Looking for group? Check this nifty interface out. Finding a group will be a breeze now.

Remember Mr. Snake (he actually burrows under ground)? Here is WoW's enemy cast bar in action.
