Disclaimer : This article is a work of fiction, but does contain some information we do know about the gods of the world. The attitudes and behavior of the gods in this article do not necessarily reflect those of the gods themselves or the devs of Gods and Heroes. This is only fiction since we all need something to do while waiting on the game ;)

The images on the screen are dim, and the surroundings seem somehow sinister. All the furnishings seem designed more to provide discomfort than relaxation, and water is heard dripping somewhere nearby. The walls of the cave can barely be made out amidst the flickering light provided by the torches lining the walls.

Perched on one of the stone chairs sits a man who seems completely out of place in this environment. Dressed in a brown suit and tie, his features speak to a British heritage. Oddly, he doesn't seem the least bit concerned. In fact, he seems to be overly energetic if anything. For a few seconds, a simple message displays across the image, reading, "Lifestyles of the Insanely Powerful". As the lettering fades away, the man finally speaks in a loud voice, his accent confirming his British heritage.

"Welcome to Lifestyles of the Insanely Powerful! In this new series, we'll be introducing you to some of the gods of Ancient Rome! So come along with me, Robin Lech, as we speak with our first deity of the series!"

The shot widens as a strange figure enters the room, heading toward Robin. She wears a long, flowing dress colored black. Her most striking feature, however, are her faces. One is of a horse, another a dog, and the final one a snake, all of them dark and sinister. Robin seems unfazed as she sits down next to him.

"Thank you for inviting us! For those who don't already know, allow me to introduce you to the dark goddess of magic, the lowest of the low, and the evilest of the evil, Trevia!"

The faces all seem to speak in unison, adding an unearthly sound to her responses, each with its own inflections.

"I prefer tribute to flattery, mortal."

"My wife always said the same thing! That was before she ran off with that rich bloke!"

"Do you always have this much energy, mortal?"

"Absolutely! Most people find it terribly annoying!"

"Maybe I should just keep you here. Your voice would be great for torturing other mortals with..."

Robin seems slightly shaken at the suggestion, and hurries ahead.

"Alrighty then! The first thing our viewers want to know is how you get along with the other gods."

Trevia's faces seem to grow darker at the question, and Robin begins to become nervous. For the first time, his eyes show fear.

"The other gods want nothing to do with me. They're against my torturing of mortals for fun. I need a hobby too!"

"Ss....So....Ahhhh....So you're into BDSM then?"

"Hardly! What they do isn't even close to torture. Do you realize that they have a list of things they can and cannot do to the other person? Nor can they just snatch someone off the street! BDSM isn't anything like what I do. I'm much more primal than they are, and you'd best not forget it!

Robin seems ready to run for the door, but he steadies himself and presses onward with the interview.

"So what types of powers do you grant your followers?"

Trevia smiles evilly, leaving some doubt as to whether her smiling or angry is truly worse.

"The destructive kind, of course. The low-level Mystics who serve me will be gifted with the power to siphon the very life from their victims! That's only to start with, so you can easily imagine what other gifts my followers will receive."

"Indeed I can! Everyone wants to prolong their own lives, and that would seem to work!"

"Are you saying you're ready to worship me, mortal?"

"Well...ah...you're a nice g.....errrr....evil goddess and all, but I don't think I measure up to your standards!"

"Why don't you let me handle the "measuring"?"

Robin jumps up, clearly unsettled by the current line of conversation."

"Uhm...No, that's quite alright! Would you look at the time! I really must dash! Join us next week when we visit with Bacchus!"

Trevia grabs Robin's arm and begins to drag him off camera. Her voice is low when she informs him of his fate.

"You misunderstand, mortal. That was not a request. Let me show you to my private chambers..."

As the screen fades to black, we hear one final world escape from Robin as he's dragged away...

"Help!"

Well, if good 'ol Robin survives his night with Trevia, he'll be back next week to visit with none-other than the god of partying himself, Bacchus! That interview should be a lot safer for him, no?

Until then, be sure to pop over to the Ten Ton Hammer forums and chat with us about this series! After all, we can't read your mind to know if you enjoyed it or not ;)
