Which DotA game is right for you?

In the last few years, we've seen the genre that contains gems such as Defense of the Ancients and Aeon of Strife explode. What used to be confided to custom maps in our favorite RTS games is now alive and well on consoles (Monday Night Combat) and even full retail games with Demigod and Heroes of Newerth. But there are three main contenders to the crown of the game to play, and they all have their strengths and weaknesses.
