The Loremaster's Corner is here again this week with a look at Death Knights and what their role in Cataclysm will be. Arthas, now slain, has fulfilled their role in the story. Yet, can an old nemesis from many wars ago find its way back to the main story stage? Let's take a look in this week's Loremaster's Corner.
This is where things get a bit complicated, so Im going to try to explain only whats needed to drive the point home. Lets begin with the fact that the Death Knights under Arthas are the second generation of Death Knights. The first generation is a bit more fearsome. See, in WarCraft II Guldan took the souls of the slain Warlocks of the Shadow Council and placed them into the bodies of the various members of The Brotherhood of the Horse (Knights of Stormwind). This resulted in a Warlocks soul in a Knights body (no Paladins back then). They were very powerful; their Death Coil was strong enough to kill in a single hit.
