Those of you new to this blog may not be aware that Thottbot, Allakhazam and OGaming are all owned by IGE, one of the largest gold seller companies in the industry. TenTonHammer took the stance that we would not accept gold advertising. Then we went a step further and began developing our own database for players like you who don't want to contribute to the gold farming economy.

WoWDB.TenTonHammer.com was born and in its short lifetime has grown considerably. We continue to need new beta testers to try and break this thing, add comments and make it a place where players trying to escape the gold farmers' clutches can find safe haven.

Here is a list of the latest changes.

Released version 0.16 of the AddOn. Changes are:
* Support for WoW patch 1.12
* Loot drop data collection
* Census data collection

You can turn census data collection on and off by typing "/tenton +census" or "/tenton -census" within WoW. If on (the default), census collection will occur at login. If you wish to capture a census at any certain time while playing, type "/tenton +census". This will take a census snapshot, even if census data collection is already turned on.

Easier searching: the landing page now features a new master search form to search all the different databases (Quest, NPCs, etc.) at once. The detailed forms for each database are still available if you prefer, just click that database's green button to the upper right of the master search form.

Uploaded version 0.22 of the uploader. This adds loot drop support (more on this soon) and encoding of "upper-ASCII' characters.

As you can see by the changelog we are now taking aim at another site that supports gold farmers, Warcraft Realms.(census) We can build it, but we can't make it work without your help. Please pop over, download the client and upload your data frequently. You never know when some lucky uploader might win some cool swag! Thank you to the hundreds of people who are currently uploading every day. The gold farming industry might seem outrageously large, but we are showing them and the developers that most players prefer a gold-free, balanced playing ground.
