One of the major goals we have had here at Ten Ton Hammer with this
column was to dispel some of the misconceptions that existed about
free-to-play and microtransaction gaming. We have explored new and
interesting titles, chronicled the success of DDO as it transitioned to
its new payment model and talked shop with some of the best and
brightest in the industry. But it seems in the midst of all of this we
have spawned some unintentional myths of our own, a private message
from a loyal reader tipped us off to the fact that they we have hyping
up so many new games that the impression has become that the older
games are simply not worth playing. Join Medawky this week as he takes
a look at some of the pioneers of quality free-to-play gaming in
Microcosms - The Future is Now.
