6 new MMOG hand-crafted articles today! 214 so far in November!
First a shout out to Matt who is about to begin his training as a Royal Marines Commando.
How many times have you wondered how developers go about balancing classes and the game in general? The Warhammer team gives you an inside look into what it takes to balance PvP gameplay today, exclusively at TenTonHammer.
Another question that you may have had is why do developers use the "Questclamation Mark" to denote a NPC that has a quest for the player? The first generation of MMOGs didn't have this luxury. Players spent vast amounts of time acting like some sort of socially addicted idiot savant hailing every NPC in every zone to discover which had quests. World of Warcraft changed all of that and other games have followed suit. Damion Schubert has posted an excellent, albeit short musing on this very topic. It's well worth a read and as coincidence would have it the very first comment is from our own Cameron Sorden.
