13 new MMOG articles today. For those of you keeping score thatâs 269 pieces of MMOG entertainment in October that you canât find anywhere else. No other network comes close.
Happy Halloween! We've got treats!
I don't know where to begin today, which in of itself is not unusual. What is extraordinary is that it isn't because of my meager intellect. We simply have so many great treats for you that I cannot pick a starting point. This must be how Paris Hilton feels when she is at the local Humane Society trying to decide which lapdog to stuff in her purse. You're welcome for that mental picture. Here goes....
We're giving away copies of the Tabula Rasa Collector's Edition signed by none other than Richard "General British" Garriott! It is unlikely that you will ever get this opportunity again. You could be the proud owner of a game signed by the gentleman who created the Ultima series. How great would that feel? Premium members who enter the contest will have 100 tickets thrown into the draw rather than the one ticket for non-premium members' entries. Go, enter...you can come back to my drivel. The contest won't last forever.
The great folks at Funcom have been going above and beyond the call of duty to give us the juicy bits about Age of Conan. The top four most visited pages on the entire network yesterday were about Age of Conan. #1 on the charts with a bullet was the Age of Conan: Class Interview #1 - The Dark Templar . Congratulations to the Age of Conan team for being the most coveted MMOG on the planet (at least for yesterday).
You asked. We listened. We tried, and tried again, and yet again...eventually we got it! Got what you ask?
Our forums are now sleeker, more intuitive, more aesthetically pleasing and trans-fat free! With the exception of Vanguard and World of Warcraft our forums have never had the critical mass that would take them to the next level. Let's face it, they were difficult to use and difficult to look at. The blazing yellow was so bright that I needed to wear my sunglasses to post. Those days are gone. Here are some of the changes, many of which are small, but which make perusing the forums more enjoyable:
sticky threads are now highlighted new posts are now listed per game rather than for the entire forums. a reputation system is in place. Are you naughty or nice? threads are created for our exclusive articles. Read the article then tell us how wrong (or right) we are! MMOG Resume - list the games you play and those that you played in your profile.I noticed that there is no Loading... forum yet. The uppity-ups here at TTH might need to feel the wrath of the Loading... readership. If we can take down Rosie we can take down TTH. If I plug for a Loading... members forum will you fill it up past the 114,000 posts in the Vanguard area making it the most prolific (or promiscuous) forum on the network? If I get enough of you lying to me that you will use the forum I'll see what I can do from my lowly perch here in the TTH HQ cellar to make it a reality.
Have a great Halloween!
