Star Citizen is still over a year away from release, and if you’re in the market for a new space-based game while you wait, Entropy may be just up your alley. The new sci-fi MMOG just hit Steam Early Access this week and comes from Battlestar Galactica Online developer Artplant.

According to the Steam page, Entropy features 120 explorable star systems, a deep character and ship development customization system, a persistent, dynamic trading, and more. Additionally, the game page also boasts to include “a true dogfighting experience in an MMO environment. Experience the thrill of skill-based combat set against a massively multiplayer arena, where up to a hundred simultaneous players per instance can fight for supremacy

There are currently three options for early access packages to Entropy: Entropy Colonist ($19.99), Entropy Explorer ($29.99), and Entropy Founder ($99.99). Each copy includes full access to the game along with a few additional items, in-game currency, and other items. Obviously the more pricy versions have the richer set of items.

If that sounds like your kind of game and you’re looking for a space MMOG outside of the EVE universe, head over to the Steam page or visit the Entropy website to check it out.
