Trion Worlds recently announced on their End of Nations Facebook page that the open beta had been postponed until further notice to allow some extra time to address a few lingering issues with the game.

Thank you all for your support over the past few months while we have been testing the game in Closed Beta. While we received an incredible amount of positive feedback, the Closed Beta tests also identified several key areas of the game which need polish and improvement.

As a result, we have decided to postpone the Open Beta phase of testing until further notice. We will let you know as soon as we have an update. Those players who made an End of Nations purchase should expect to receive a follow-up email shortly. Thank you in advance for your continued input and support. It is greatly appreciated.

Naturally this led to some speculation on the End of Nations forums about the game being cancelled. Community Manager Lance James took to the forums to assure everyone that it has not.

Indeed - just wait and let us deliver a better game!

End of Nations has not been canceled!

As mentioned in the original Facebook post, one of our staffers received an email today explaining the decision to postpone the open beta and confirmed that an automatic refund would be given to players that made a purchase. Additional details about the refund can be found via the official FAQ.
