powers to choose from. The power set they choose depends upon the
player’s style of play and will help define what role they
will play in any group. In this article, we will thoroughly examine the
Telekinesis power set, describing all the powers, and highlighting some
other power sets that are compatible with it.



The Telekinesis power set relies upon the power of the
character’s strength of mind. Overall, it is a versatile
power set, but most of the most potent abilities rely upon close
attacks. In addition, there are some nice holds to trap your foes as
you dish out your damage, as well as some nice area of effect attacks.



The biggest damage ability is the capability to summon Id Blades, which
increases your damage by adding a second blade. This damage is based
upon your Ego, which is one of your primary stats, while the other is
Constitution. Ego not only increases your critical severity, but allows
you to break out of holds faster. In addition, Ego also increases the
effects of your own hold power, Ego Hold.



While Telekinesis is a versatile power set, there are other power sets
that have useful powers that are extremely compatible with Telekinesis.
Getting powers from other power sets will increase the versatility of
your character and make them even more powerful and dangerous. Who
doesn’t love that? The best thing to look for in other power
sets are those sets that use one of your main stats (Ego and
Constitution). The Supernatural power set has a great healing power,
Resurgence, which is scaled to your Constitution. The Darkness and
Force power sets have some powers, such as Shadow Form or Force Shield.
Remember that you’ll want to pin your foes with a hold or
root power, and then whale on them with your melee attacks, activating
your Id Blades.



For the overview, we’ll list each power along with any
pertinent information. In addition, any advantages that can be
purchased for the power will be listed. The tier of the power will also
be listed. Newer players may be confused by the term
‘tier’ for the powers. What tier means is what
requirements are needed to take the power. The tier levels are
summarized below.


Starter – no
requirement needed. Tier 1 – requires
one Munitions power or two non energy building powers from any framework Tier 2 – requires
three Munitions powers or five non energy building powers from any
framework Tier 3 – requires
five Munitions powers or eight non energy building powers from any
framework

Tier: Starter

Type: Energy Builder

Description: Use your mind to launch Kinetic Darts at your enemies,
gathering energy as you focus your will in this basic attack mode.

Method: Click

Single target ego damage. Generates energy. On initial attack, chance to
apply Shock, holding the target in place.

Advantages:

Incisive Wit - Kinetic Darts
have a chance to activate an Ego Surge. Ego Surge increases your
paranormal damage, transforms your Ego Weaponry into dual Id Blades
increasing the damage of those powers, assists in breaking out of any
holds affecting you and counts as an Energy Form. Accelerated Metabolism -
Every time you use this ability you have a chance to return a small
amount of energy.

Tier: Starter

Type: Close Attack

Description: Make a weapon from your force of will. This Ego Weaponry
will be used in melee, driving the strength of your mind against the
physical form of your opponent.

Method: Click

Single target ego damage While in Ego Form or under
Ego Surge activated Id Blades, creating a second blade of telekinetic
energy to cause additional damage. Damage dealt by Id Blades
scales based on your Ego

Advantages:

Thought Server - Ego
Weaponry will reduce the energy of the target with each hit in addition
to dealing damage normally. Accelerated Metabolism -
Every time you use this ability you have a chance to return a small
amount of energy. Crippling Challenge Increases the threat
caused by this attack, making enemies more likely to attack
you.  Places a 20% damage debuff
on the target that persists for 15 seconds. If the affected enemy
attacks the taunter, it will quickly reduce this debuff's strength.
Conversely, damage the taunter inflicts on the taunted enemy restores
the debuff's strength. This advantage Taunts an
AI controlled enemy, forcing them to attack you for 4 seconds. All
taunts share a 10 second cooldown, and an enemy that has been taunted
by any source cannot be taunted again for 10 seconds. Crippling Challenge breaks
through blocking and disables it for 10 seconds.

Tier: 1

Type: Close Area Attack

Description: Using a blade of telekinetic energy you re able to use a
swiling attack to right multiple enemies at once.

Method: Maintain

Deals continuous ego damage
to targets in front of you. Chance to apply Ego Leech
for a short time to each target hit. Ego Leech takes 10 seconds to
reach full strength and will not provide benefit
prior to
that.  While in Ego Form or under
Ego Surge activated Id Blades, creating a second blade of telekinetic
energy to cause additional damage. Damage dealt by Id Blades
scales based on your Ego.

Advantages:

Unnerving Rage - Causes Ego
Blade Frenzy to root its target for the duration of the attack. Accelerated Metabolism -
Every time you use this ability you have a chance to return a small
amount of energy. Challenging Strikes This advantage increases
the threat caused by this attack against all affected targets, making
them more likely to attack you. If this advantage is
applied to a power that has a recharge time, it will additionally add a
moderate amount of threat over time to all affected targets, for the
duration of the recharge. This advantage inflicts a
5% damage debuff against all affected targets. If an affected enemy
attacks you, it will quickly reduce this debuff's strength. Conversely,
any damage you inflict restores the debuff's strength.

Tier: 1

Type: Ranged Area Attack

Description: Through sheer willpower you are able to life and maneuver
physical objects.

Method: Tap

Uses your Ego
characteristic, instead of Strength to determine what objects you can
lift and the damage they deal when thrown. Attempts to pick up targets
object. If you already have an
object lifted with Telekinesis, throws the object at your target. Additional ranks of this
power increase the contribution your Ego characteristics towards what
objects you can lift and how much damage they deal when thrown.

Type: Blocking

Description: Using the power of your mind, you can create a shield of
pure telekinetic energy to protect yourself.

Method: Maintain

Self damage reduction with
better Physical Damage reduction than other Block Powers.

Advantages:

Telekinetic Reinforcement -
Telekinetic Shield will continue to provide a defensive benefit against
Physical Damage for a short duration after blocking.

Choke

Type: Crowd Control

Description: Having learned your lessons well, you may use your
Telekinetic powers to choke a single foe.

Method: Maintain

Deals continuous crushing
damage to your target. Applies a Hold that gains
strength for each second maintained.

Advantages:

Garroting Grip - Ego Choke
reduces the offensive capabilities of your target for a short duration. Accelerated Metabolism -
Every time you use this ability you have a chance to return a small
amount of energy.

Type: Crowd Control

Description: You wrap the villain in strands of mental energy. This Ego
Hold will keep your target in place, though they may try to break free.

Method: Charge

This power must be charged
at least .5 seconds to have an effect. Applies Hold to target. Hold strength is based on
the charge time.

Advantages:

Mass Effect - Mass Effect
causes enemies near your Ego Hold target to become slowed.

Type: Buff Self

Description: Through mental discipline you are able to partially ignore
your wounds and manifest a second blade when attacking enemies with
your ego blade.

Method: Slotted Passive

Can be slotted in an
Offensive or Balanced passive power slot. Only active while in combat. Reduces all incoming
physical damage. This reduction scales with your Constitution. Empowers your Ego Blade
attacks, transforming them into dual id blade attacks which deal
increased damage. The damage increase for Id
Blade attacks scales with your Ego. Counts as an Energy Form.

Type: Buff Self

Description: Through Concentration and mental discipline you are able
to manifest a second blade of energy when using your ego blade attacks.

Method: Click

Empowers your Ego Blade
attacks, transforming them into dual Id Blade attacks which deal
increased damage. The damage increase for Id
Blade attacks scales with your Ego. Increases all Paranormal
Damage. Assists in breaking out of
Hold and Paralysis effects. Can be used while held or
Confused. Counts as an Energy Form.

Nimble Mind - Your Ego Surge
greatly enhances your ability to deliver Critical Hits.

Type: Close Area Attack

Description: You gather your will and then release it in a massive
blast. This blast deals a large amount of damage, and will have a
chance of knocking back your foes.

Method: Tap

Deals ego damage to nearby
targets. Chance to knockback targets.

Method: Charge

Increases damage and energy
cost of the tap effect. If charged over 50%, applies
damage resistance buff to you. If charged 50%, applies ego
damage buff to you.

Advantages:

Enhanced Form - The Ego Form
resulting from charging Telekinetic Eruption lasts longer than usual. Challenging Strikes This advantage increases
the threat caused by this attack against all affected targets, making
them more likely to attack you. If this advantage is

Type: Ranged Area Attack

Description: Telekinetic Wave unleashes a blast of energy to fling your
enemies away from you.

Method: Tap

Deals crushing damage to
targets in front of you. Knockback each affected
target. Applies Ego Leech for a
short tome to each target hit. If this power defeats a
target effects by Ego Leech, some energy is returned.

Method: Charge

Increase damage and
knockback distance of the tap effect.

Advantages:

Psychic Tides - Telekinetic
Wave will decrease the energy equilibrium of targets to 1 for 20
seconds.

Type: Close Attack

Description: You control your ego weaponry is such that you are able to
devastatingly powerful blows.

Method: Click

Single target ego damage. Attack is much more powerful
against foes with less than 25% health remaining. Applies Ego Leech for a
short time to each target hit. Ego Leech takes 10 seconds to reach full
strength and will not provide benefit prior to that. If this power defeat a
target affected by Ego Leech, some energy is returned. While in Ego Form or under
Ego Surge activated Id Blades, creating a second blade of telekinetic
energy to cause additional damage. Damage dealt by Id Blades
scales based on your Ego.

Advantages:

Mindful Inversion - Instead
of being highly effective against enemies with low health, Ego Blade
Annihilation is highly effective against enemies with high health.

Description: This devastating attacks uses highly focused ego weaponry
to deal a stunning blow to your enemy.

Method: Tap

Single target ego
damage  Applies a damage resistance
debuff to target. This debuff can stack up to 3 times. Applies Ego Leech for a
short time to each target hit. Ego Leech takes 10 seconds to reach full
strength and will not provide benefit prior to that. If this power defeat a
target affected by Ego Leech, some energy is returned. While in Ego Form or under
Ego Surge activated Id Blades, creating a second blade of telekinetic
energy to cause additional damage. Damage dealt by Id Blades
scales based on your Ego.

Advantages:

Accelerated Metabolism -

amount of energy. Domineering Will - Ego Blade
Breach will stun targets who block the attack.

Description: This telekinetic attack draws stones from the earth and
flings them at nearby targets.

nearby targets. Applies a hold to each
target hit. Applies Ego Leech for a
short time to each target hit. Ego Leech takes 10 seconds to reach full
strength and will not provide a benefit prior to that. If this power defeats a
target affected by Ego Leech, some energy is returned.

Increase damage and energy
cost of the tap effect.

Advantages:

Expansive Intellect - The
Ego Form resulting from charging Telekinetic Eruption lasts longer than
usual.
