What kind of
crafting is available in Age of Conan?

A: Everything you would expect! There are weaponsmiths who
make weapons;
armorsmiths who make armor; gemcutters who make gems to enhance
equipment;
alchemists who make all sorts of consumables; and architects who make
buildings
and siege engines (like catapults).

How do you advance
in crafting, to create better items?

A: There are six tiers of crafting. To reach the next tier,
you must
perform a series of crafting-related quests provided by a NPC master
crafter.

Q:
Is crafted
equipment better than other items found in the world?

A: No better, no worse, but different. The crafted items are
unique in the
way that you can insert gems to increase and customize their stats. You
cannot
do that with other items. However, there are also very powerful items
found
deep in dungeons too. It’s a matter of player preference and
what they have
available to them.

a crafter, and not do any adventuring?

A: No. You will need to level up in adventuring to open up
new crafting
skill trees.
