Overview Minimum Level Connecting Zones Quests Soloing Opportunities Grouping OpportunitiesNew Tunaria is the city formerly known as Felwithe from EverQuest 1. Currently inhabited by reclusive and snooty high elves, it remains a danger to anyone who ventures through its gates. No race can expect a warm welcome from these xenophobic creatures.
New Tunaria is an exterior zone with the Echoes of Faydwer expansion. It provides a number of areas to hunt in not to mention a few quests well worth your time to complete. This zone is a little out of the way, so it sees less use than it should, but I would recommend it to anyone in the level range.
New Tunaria has a great mix of solo and heroic mobs ranging from 55 to the mid 60's. There is also one set of epic X2 mobs in the very back of the zone. It's a great zone for people in their mid 50's to 60's.
The Ivy Shrouded Orb of Tunare - A level 60-70 signature quest. Find the full quest series guide here.
Devotion (level 65) - This is up in the southern tower near -120, -750. Take the ramp up to the top and find the book on the podium. Click for the first quest.
First go to the Temple of Growth which can be found inside the giant oak tree in the middle of the zone. Click the urn once during the day and once at night for your update. Return to the tablet to complete the quest.
Next you'll need to inspect 4 tombstones which sounds easy enough but is deep in the zone. As you pass through the Hall of Truth you'll want to take the right exit out of the oak tree area. You'll notice a path heading to the southeast which you can invis by very easily until you get to the top. This part you may not survive alone but many people can rush by it. When you hit the ground take a left and you'll find a building on the left with a graveyard inside. All your updates are there. Return to the tablet.
Finally, the tablet will send you to harvest a flower around the Temple of Growth and ask you to place it in front of Thex Castle. Once again it sounds really easy, but isn't. You'll head the same way you did in the previous step except when you took a left, you'll go straight. Good luck getting across the bridge without friends. You'll find a clickable item at the base of the stairs in front of the castle (beware the epic X2's around the fountain). Return to the tablet for your reward. Reward: Money, Experience, and a nice level 62 item for most classes.
Purification (level 65) - This quest begins in the northern tower near -130, -970. Go up to the top of the ramp and examine the book on the pedestal.
First go to the Temple of Growth which can be found inside the giant oak tree in the middle of the zone. Click the urn and return to the tablet to complete the quest.
Next, you'll be tasked with finding a book called the History of the Corruption of Elves. You'll head to -394, -948 and examine the book on the table. You'll now need to kill librarians who are 58 ^^^'s until you get all your updates. Keep an eye out for the Agen of Mistmoore who likes to come along and cause problems. Return to the tablet.
Now you need to find instructions on how to craft a blade. On the opposite of the librarians are...that's right! Armorsmiths! Around -390, -760 you'll find the instructions and need to kill Smith's until you get all your updates. Return to the tablet.
You'll be sent to the Pedestal of Purity near -670, -1130 for the next portion of your quest. Time for a good old fashioned ring event. Clicking the object in the center will begin a 3 wave event consisting of 8 level 62 ^^^'s, 8 level 63 ^^^'s and 4 Level 65 ^^^'s. Kill them all and return to the tablet.
You'll finally be given a no trade robe. Head to Thex castle and on the SE side you'll find a pool with a few mobs standing around it. If you don't have the robe on and jump in you'll be ported out. With it on, you'll get your quest update. Head back to the tablet. Reward: Experience, 27gp, and a choice of extremely nice legendary gear. Well worth doing the quest for.
A Crusade to Faydwer (level 60) - This is part of the Swords of Destiny Quest Part 1. Feel free to see our guide here for details.
New Tunaria doesn't offer much in the way of solo content, but you will find a number of solo creatures in the early portions of the zone. From the Tunarians around 56 to the Sentry's at the same level this can be a great change of pace from the ordinary grind. Beware however the 62^^^'s that can be occassionally found on the first bridge.
This zone was primarily designed with groups in mind as most of the content is heroic. There is plenty to keep your group going in various areas of the zone. The higher end 50's mobs can be found in the Hall of Truth while the low 60's creatures can be found towards the Castle of Thex. There is also a group of EpicX2's which can also provide a little challenge to anyone looking for it.
I'd highly recommend the quests listed here as they all provide great experience and decent rewards.
