Revenant Profession Guide

A revenant is a visible ghost or animated corpse that was believed to return from the grave to terrorize the living. The word "revenant" is derived from the Latin word, reveniens, "returning" (see also the related French verb "revenir", meaning "to come back").

Overview

The Revenant is Guild Wars 2’s latest addition and is the third soldier profession. Wearing Heavy Armor, the Revenant can channel the Mists to gain the powers of certain legendary figures of the past. Currently known Legends are:

King Jalis Ironhammer Mallyx the Unyielding

It is assumed that King Jalis Ironhammer will provide Power based damage and as confirmed by Colin Johanson, Mallyx the Unyielding will be Condition based.  According to Colin Johanson, he states: "Channelling a legend actually changes out the entire back-half of your skillbar, so your heal skill, your utilities and your elite are all determined by the Legend you are currently channelling."

Rytlock Brimstone will be the first Revenant in Tyria when Heart Of Thorns is release.
