Starting off in World of Warcraft can be quite the challenge for new players and especially new players to the MMOG genre. We've compiled all of our best beginner tips and guides into one mega guide that gives you everything you need to know to start the game off on the right foot. Have a friend playing? Hand them our new beginner guide and watch them go from "n00b" to "1337" in no time.
The first thing the game will ask you is what realm do you want to play on and will often recommend one for you. If you have a friend youre going to want to view the realm list and choose your friends server, otherwise you can simply take the games suggestion and move to the character creation screen. If you dont choose your friends server then you and him can be in the same spot but unable to see or communicate with one another! So be sure to ask if you have a friend who plays WoW as well.
